How you can give us a hand
No experience needed: there's room for every schedule and every passion. Pick the area that suits you, or mix and match.
Up close with the animals
Help us with the daily care of the wild animals hosted at the center.
Habitat & facilities
Help keep enclosures, green areas and the center's spaces in good shape.
Schools & events
Tell the story of nature with us: visits, workshops and events open to everyone.
Behind the scenes
Communication, fundraising and a bit of paperwork: that's volunteering too.
A volunteer's tasks
Here's what you'll actually do — always with the staff, and never on your own at the start:
Have fun! ❤️ Yes, that's task number one: we work hard here, but always with a smile.
Bring wellbeing to the animals: make them feel safe, looked after and cared for every day.
Prepare meals and feed the guests of the center.
Keep enclosures, shelters and work areas clean.
Fix up enclosures, aviaries and equipment when needed.
Lend a hand recovering and transporting injured wildlife.
Help out at events and school activities.
A volunteer's obligations
Volunteering is free and unpaid, but a few commitments do come with it — the law asks for them, and so does common sense:
Join the volunteer register: we take care of the (mandatory) insurance.
Take part in the introductory training and follow the staff's advice.
Always respect the safety rules and the animals' wellbeing.
Show up when you said you would — and let us know if you can't.
Everything is unpaid: we only reimburse documented expenses.
